The 2009 Wedding of the Year was held in beautiful weather at the Bryn Howel Hotel near Llangollen.
The ceremony was held in the Valley Room Conservatory, with its panoramic views of the Dee Valley.
Stephanie Booth, MD of the Llangollen Hotels Group said:
“We couldn’t have picked a better couple – they are so in love, and this is a great day. They have been blessed with beautiful weather, allowing both them and their many friends and family, who joined them on this their special day, to have free range of the 5 acres of gardens at the Bryn Howel. I’d like to personally thank all our suppliers who contributed to this years competition, all ensuring Bethan and Celfyn had a wonderful experience.
Bethan was absolutely stunning in her exquisitely designed gown and looked so beautiful I’m surprised her father actually wanted to give her away!”
Celfyn Hughes, 29, and Bethan Evans, 25, of Llannerchymedd
Having met Bethan at a Bangor nightclub five years ago, former Royal Marine Celfyn proposed to her shortly before his unit, 42 Commando, went on a six month tour of duty to war-torn Afghanistan.
The pair were engaged for two years, Celfyn has left the Marines and they have set up home on Anglesey.
