Unlike most hotels we do not cater for weddings on a production line basis, absolutely everything is planned in detail with you to ensure that your day is tailor-made just for you. Unlike the majority of other hotels we do not add extras on top of goods or services supplied by outside companies, eg. flowers, table decorations, entertainment, etc. so you can have a wedding day in a magnificent country home for the same cost as an ordinary venue.

We can cater for small intimate wedding breakfasts through to sumptuous banquets for up to two hundred and fifty guests, as well as being able to offer a variety of rooms in which to hold your actual wedding ceremony.

We hold a marriage licence so if you wish, you could also hold the civil marriage at Bryn Howel. It is our desire to turn your dream of a perfect wedding day into reality. Please feel free to visit the hotel to have a look around and to discuss your requirements.

Our private owners are David & Stephanie Booth who live locally and after a life-time in business decided they wanted to bring high standards of service and food to hotels and restaurants in North Wales. Having private owners makes a big difference as the personal touches and significant investment in the hotel demonstrates.

Drinks on arrival
To greet your guests and start the celebrations. These may be served in the Valley Room, Glyndwr Bar or on the front top lawn.

Wedding Breakfast
Please make your choice from our Wedding menu selection. We will add fresh seasonal vegetables to complement your choice. Vegetarians, vegans and people with any other special dietary requirements can all be imaginatively catered for - please inform us of their needs in advance.

Wines
Our Wedding package includes our House Red and White Wine, however, we do have a more extensive Wine List, which is available on request. As a guide towards estimating how much wine to provide for your guests, with the meal, we suggest two glasses per person.

The Cake
You are welcome to use our presentation cake knife and our round or square cake stand for you cake. The dimensions of the stand are as follows -
Round Cake stand - 14 inches or 36cms
Square Cake stand 15 inches or 39.5cms

Floral Table Arrangements
Use of the hotel's flowers and stands is included in our package but we are happy to advise you on the size and suitability of arrangements for the top table and guest tables should you wish to organise the flowers yourselves.

Seating Plan and Guest List
Please provide a table plan and guest list which will be displayed on a 90 x 60cm pin board at the entrance of your reception room. The tables need to be marked numerically.

It is important to write the table number and seat number on the reverse side of each placecard and then to bundle the placecards into table and seating order.

Your Seating Plan and Guest List including any special dietary requirements are required at least one week before the day of your wedding. Place cards, table decorations etc, need to be packed and labelled in table order. Our wedding coordinator will advise on the best and easiest way to keep these items in order. We would need your table decorations either the day before your wedding or very early on the day of your wedding.

Your Evening Reception
Your evening reception would be held in the Glyndwr Suite with the exclusive use of the adjacent Cocktail Bar.

To sustain you and your guests through an evening of dancing, we offer a choice of suppers and buffets. Please see the Buffet Menus

Civil Marriage Ceremonies at Bryn Howel
Once you have made provisional arrangement for your marriage at Bryn Howel Hotel, you should then contact the Superintendent Registrar at Ruthin who is Mrs Margaret Williams. Tel. 01824 706174. The marriage can only take place in the presence of the Superintendent Registrar and a Registrar, therefore any arrangements for the use of the hotel depend on first confirming the availability with the registrar. Once you have made a firm booking with the Register Office, please notify us and confirm your reservation.
The cost of having your Civil ceremony at the hotel is £200. Neither the Bride nor the Groom have to be a resident in the area to get married at the Bryn Howel. Wherever you live in England or Wales, you can choose this beautiful setting for your wedding.

Deposits and Booking Arrangements for your Wedding Reception
A £500 non-refundable booking fee is requested to be paid within 7 days of a provisional booking together with a written confirmation of the date, function room(s), approximate numbers attending and ceremony time.We recommend that all the arrangements are finalised at least four weeks prior to the wedding day. Final numbers are required 21 days prior to the function and full payment is requested 2 weeks before the event. Should you decrease your numbers after 14 days, we regret no refunds can be given. We will also require your table plan, typed guest list and placecards together with any other items for the event at least 48 hours beforehand.
